Multimedia Journalist (Full Time Position)
Responsibilities:
 |
 |
• |
Translate local press resources from English to Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong), including but not limited to: political/legal/governmental releases, financial/business reports, surveys, real estate stats, public relations/corporate communications releases, commercial and marketing resources |
• |
Utilizing professional editorial judgment and writing skills to capture and construct rich content for publication, which includes copy writing, editing, translating, interviewing, photo shooting, and video recording |
• |
Video creation/editing & subtitling, image retouching/manipulation, audio de-noise/editing, and desktop publishing targeting multimedia news industry |
• |
Rendering graphic elements and page layouts, with the use of graphic design, DTP and multimedia software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Illustrator etc.) |
• |
Designing editorial layouts for use in multimedia environments and modify CSS and HTML coding of mobile websites and apps |
• |
Graphical design and content control for websites and mobile applications |
• |
Administrate accounts on different social networks (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Weibo) |
• |
Analyze web trend and statistics and implement strategies to improve hit rate |
• |
Required to work shifts |
Requirements:
 |
 |
• |
Ability to work independently on editing, translations, interviews, copywriting, photo taking, video recording and/or with expertise in related journalistic work |
• |
With university degree or equivalent qualification |
• |
Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin |
• |
Proficient in basic computer operation and Chinese data input |
• |
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite |
• |
Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite 6 and previous versions |
• |
Extensive knowledge of graphics design software (e.g. Photoshop CS6 and Illustrator CS6) |
• |
Extensive knowledge of audio editing software (e.g. Audition CS6) |
• |
Extensive knowledge of video editing software (e.g. Premiere CS6, FL studio and Cool Edit) |
• |
Extensive knowledge of the operation of multiple social networks (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Weibo) |
• |
Strong knowledge of editorial layout concept |
• |
Basic knowledge of CSS and HTML programming structure |
