MING PAO Daily News is a prevailing Chinese newspaper in Toronto that speaks for the Chinese population in Toronto. We are recruiting the following position:
Reporter (Full Time)
Responsibilities:
•
Fulfill daily news story assignments as received from management and supervisors
•
Arrange and conduct interviews; take photos and write up various features
•
Develop and execute ideas for feature stories
Requirements:
•
Fluent in spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
•
Preference given to candidate with Chinese media experience
•
Available to fulfil ad-hoc assignments and follow up on emerging headline stories
•
Work night shifts and on weekends when required
•
University degree in journalism or equivalent qualification
•
Proficient in basic computer operation and Chinese character input
•
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
•
Basic working knowledge of photo editing
•
Valid Driver's License and access to vehicle
