【明報專訊】◆Pull something out of the hat

to suddenly produce something as a solution to a problem.

e.g. I have heard that all tickets for the Olympic Games were sold out! How did you pull two tickets out of the hat?

◆Hat trick

the situation when a player scores three times in the same game, especially in football.

e.g. Pat performed a hat trick in her first football match.

◆Take your hat off

admire someone for his/her achievement, or praise someone.

e.g. Our team would like to take our hat off to this organization for their generous donation.
