¡i©ú³ø±M°T¡jLeicester City (§õ´µ¯S«°) have won its first ever English Premier League title this season, following a brilliant performance from its striker and winger Jamie Vardy (¥e¬üµØ­}), whom the Football Writers' Association (­^®æÄõ¨¬²y°OªÌ¨ó·|) has named the 2015/16 Footballer of the Year (­^®æÄõ¨¬²y¥ý¥Í).

Vardy is twenty-nine years old. Born and raised in Sheffield, England, Vardy was rejected by the local football club Sheffield Wednesday (¿ü©P¤T) for being too short when he was sixteen. The following year he started playing for Stocksbridge Park Steels (¥v¦«´µ¾ô¿ûÅK) for a salary of ¢G30 (around HK$340) a week and working as a technician in a factory in his hometown.

Vardy joined Leicester City in 2012. He continued to play in his energetic style. In November 2015 he became the first player to have scored in eleven consecutive Premier League matches!
