【明報專訊】The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) has recently launched the "Vision of Love Mobile Eye Care Project" (看見愛流動護眼計劃) to promote eye healthcare for the needy. As part of the project, a multi-purpose vehicle has got equipped with vision screening equipment.
According to Dr Chi-wai Do (杜志偉), Associate Head of the School of Optometry (眼科視光學院) of PolyU, people of lower social status tend to pay less attention to their sight problems because of financial difficulties or a lack of awareness. It is hoped that the vehicle can reach out to the community and provide timely visual screening services for those in need.
