Spotlight：Jin Yong Gallery now open
【明報專訊】Jin Yong Gallery, the first gallery in Hong Kong about the renowned novelist Louis Cha (查良鏞), better known by his pen name of Jin Yong (金庸), has opened at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum. The Gallery's more than a hundred exhibits include early editions of Jin Yong's novels and invaluable manuscripts (right), documents and photos.
Jin Yong wrote fifteen wuxia (武俠) novels, which have been bestsellers since they were published between 1955 and 1972. He is the most influential wuxia novel writer in the 20th century. It is said that you find Jin Yong's novels wherever you find Chinese people. Jin Yong's wuxia novels have always inspired producers of movies, TV series and other products of popular culture.
