Book? Beauty and the Beast: Lost in a Book
【明報專訊】We are all familiar with the story of Beauty and the Beast (《美女與野獸》). In it, Belle is an intelligent girl. In a recent movie under the same title, Belle is played by the equally brainy Emma Watson.
A new addition to the original story, Beauty and the Beast: Lost in a Book peeks into the enjoyable time Belle has when she is on her own in a grand castle. She comes across Nevermore, an enchanted book. With its special power, Nevermore transports her into a wonderful world where a mysterious countess makes friends with her and fulfils her wishes.
Strangely though, the longer Belle stays in the new world, the harder it is for her to leave it. Belle realises she is lost in the excitement. She is determined to return to the world where she can be reunited with her lovely friends.
Written by Jennifer Donnelly, Beauty and the Beast: Lost in a Book is based on the 2017 movie. Not only does it tell a love story, but it also shows we should be aware of addictions.
