Horizon﹕The ''OK'' gesture

【明報專訊】You might think that the "OK" gesture — making a circle by joining your thumb and index finger— means the same round the world. Well that isn't the case. It's easy to offend people from certain countries. Beware doing it when you travel next time!

A curse

The Arabs associate it with "the evil eye". They make the gesture while cursing someone they hate.

Looking down on people

The gesture connotes "worthless" in southern France. That makes sense, as the gesture looks really like an egg.

An attitude of indifference (漠不關心)

In Brazil, that's a taboo gesture if turned upside down, which shows you don't care about somebody or something.
