【明報專訊】Pat and Bill are enjoying themselves in the Pingxi Lantern Festival (平溪天燈節) in Taiwan during the Mid-Autumn Festival. What have they written on their sky lanterns?

“ Bill: What have you written on the lantern? ”

“ Pat: I wish I could eat all delicacies without getting fat! ”

“ Eason: Your dream will definitely come true! Hahaha! ”

“ Bill: Forget it... After all, to stay healthy and fit, it's more important to exercise. ”

■Culture tips

Pingxi Lantern Festival

At the Pingxi Lantern Festival, thousands of uniquely decorated hot air lanterns are released into the sky. People usually write their wishes on their sky lanterns. It is believed that the gods above will know what your wishes are after your lantern has gone into the sky. The festival is also held annually during Chinese New Year to mark the Spring Lantern Festival (元宵節)。

■English highway﹕definitely

We may use "definitely" in a conversation to emphasize that something is true and there is no doubt about it.

e.g. I am your class teacher. I definitely remember all your names.
