A typical chilli's spiciness is around 10,000 Scoville Heat Units (¥v°ªºûº¸«ü¼Ð¡ASHU), but the Carolina Reaper (¥dùµÜ¯Ç¦º¯«) has on average a spiciness level of 1,569,300 SHU. According to Guinness World Records, it has remained the hottest chilli in the world since 2013. The chilli is grown by Ed Currie, a farmer who lives in South Carolina. Be cautious! Carolina Reapers may cause vomiting and even spasm.
