India's National Girl Child Day
Today is India's National Girl Child Day. International society has long been concerned about Indian women's plight (厄運). Not only are many of them treated as inferior and deprived of basic education needs, but they are also faced with inhumane treatment. In 2009, in order to raise the awareness of protecting women and girls, the Indian government created a new day to celebrate — National Girl Child Day. It may not be a popular day of celebration, but it is a special day for Indian children. As Prime Minister Modi said on the same day last year, "it is imperative to reject discrimination against the girl child and ensure equal opportunities for the girl child."
■English highway﹕superior and inferior
If A is superior to B, A is stronger or better than B. If A is inferior to B, A is weaker and worse than B. They can be used without "to" when appearing as adjectives.
e.g. Chris has got superior results in the exam.
The new smartphone is inferior to its last version.
