【明報專訊】On September 12, sixty-eight photos of cats replaced usual adverts about food delivery services, weight loss services and dating sites at the Clapham Common tube station (克拉珀姆公地站) in London, the United Kingdom (英國倫敦). That happened because of a project called the Citizens Advertising Takeover Service (C.A.T.S.) launched by Glimpse, a group that "aims to use creativity for good".

In May, Glimpse received donations totalling 23,131 pounds (about HK$232,000) from 683 backers on Kickstarter, a platform that helps bring about creative projects by gathering resources from the public. The funding was used to rent the billboards for two weeks and to hire photographers to take photos of cats from two local animal welfare charities.

According to Glimpse's website, the purpose of C.A.T.S. is to "help people think a bit differently about the world around them and get inspired to change things for better". James Turner, who founded Glimpse, said, "Instead of focusing on the problem, we create 'glimpses' of a world where things are getting better." He and the group want agencies and brands to be aware of their power and use it to promote positive values in society.
